Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman meets with participants in the Professional Government Initiative founded by representatives of associations of graduates of foreign educational establishments. The participants in the meeting discussed challenges Ukraine is facing today and the ways to overcome them.

"The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that today Ukraine is facing a number of serious challenges, in particular, political and economic crises. I believe that the solution to these challenges should be as clear as possible," Groysman said.

The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament also said that one of the key problems in Ukraine today is ineffective system of state government. He thinks that inability of the system to respond to current challenges accurately creates most of the problems in the country.

Groysman said that to overcome the crisis, the country needs a clear action plan to determine top-priority steps for the reforms implementation. Groysman noted that respective plan is being elaborated.

In turn, representatives of the Professional Government Initiative said that Ukraine should create proper public service conditions, which would make it attractive for highly-qualified specialists, foreign graduates and educated youth.

Besides, the Initiative representatives said that other important reforms to be introduced in Ukraine are the fight against corruption, education reform, judicial reform, health care sector reform, economy development, tax reform, etc.
